R&G Development Group, LLC

Headquartered in Bremerton, Washington, R&G Development Group, LLC (License No.: RGDEVDG790M3) is the brainchild of Chad Ronquillo and Willie Gilbert, two longtime friends who decided to combine their respective talents to form a real estate development company that would build multi-family apartment buildings. After attending and graduating from the same junior and senior high schools in Bremerton, Washington, Mr. Ronquillo, a native Washingtonian, and Mr. Gilbert, born in North Carolina, but raised primarily in the Puget Sound area, embarked upon separate career paths: Mr. Ronquillo in the construction industry, and Mr. Gilbert in the legal profession. For the next three decades, Mr. Ronquillo, after forming his own company, rose through the ranks of the construction industry, moving all the way up from the position of a “helper” to a general contractor, construction project manager, and principal builder of luxury, million-dollar homes. Meanwhile, Mr. Gilbert went to college and law school (graduating from both with honors), accepted prestigious appointments to work as a law clerk for three different state and federal judges, and worked as a trial lawyer and business consultant for more than 25 years. Through the years, Mr. Ronquillo and Mr. Gilbert -- unbeknownst to each other -- both harbored aspirations of transitioning full-time into the world of commercial real estate development. Then, after learning in early 2021 about each other’s unfulfilled desire to develop their own commercial real estate projects, Mr. Ronquillo and Mr. Gilbert decided to form R&G Development Group, LLC, a real estate development company that is geared toward the development and construction of multi-family apartment buildings. R&G’s inaugural project is the Sage Apartments project, which, when completed, will be a 4-story, 29-unit apartment building located across the street from the old Bay Bowl bowling alley on Wheaton Way in Bremerton, Washington.
